The Superintendent's Office collaborates with the Board of Trustees, community, and staff to develop and maintain our district's vision and goals. The Superintendent also establishes rigorous performance benchmarks and fosters a collaborative environment where all departments align to achieve our goal of inspiring exceptional accomplishments daily.

Welcome Back, Sierra Unified Families!

What a year it has been! Together, we have achieved incredible milestones. We stood united and successfully defeated a territory transfer, passed a bond measure to invest in our schools, focused on English Language Arts instruction and saw nearly a 5% gain, and continued so many of our treasured traditions.

A new school year brings the promise of even more great things to come. We welcome a new administrative team at our elementary school, and we look forward to continuing the outstanding work at Sierra Junior/Senior High.

It takes all of us—parents, teachers, students, administration, and staff—to be the positive change we want to see in Sierra Unified. We are committed to treating every student and every parent with the same respect, care, and understanding we would want for ourselves and our own families. In return, we ask that our community assume positive intentions from all staff and extend kindness in every interaction, as we all work toward the same goal—supporting our students.

I am honored and privileged to enter my second year as your superintendent with a deeper understanding of the traditions and people that make our mountain community so special. This is a place where students are free to be kids, where they are taught to value hard work and the land we live on. Sierra High students are unmatched in their character and their commitment to our community.

We will continue to work toward the success of all learners, with clear and open communication remaining a priority—from the boardroom to every classroom.
