Sierra Unified Local Control & Accountability Plan

What is the LCAP?
The Sierra Unified School Distric's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) outlines our District's vision for improving student outcomes and expanding opportunities for all learners, with a focus on closing equity gaps across the district.

As part of California’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), all school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools are required to develop, adopt, and annually update a three-year LCAP. This plan reports how funds allocated through the LCFF will be used.

The LCAP must identify annual goals, outline specific actions to achieve those goals, and measure progress for various student groups across multiple performance indicators. These indicators are based on eight state-priority areas. To ensure coherence and effectiveness, the LCAP must align with the district’s overall spending plan.

The LCAP must be approved prior to the adoption of the district’s annual budget. After local adoption, the Plan is submitted to the County Superintendent for review and approval.
