Don't forget to "fall back" this weekend, Sierra Unified families!

On Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 2:00 A.M., Daylight Saving Time ends.
Make sure to turn your manual clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday night
so everyone gets that extra hour of sleep!
With the time change, the sun will set much earlier.
Here is how we can work together to keep our students safe and ready for school on Monday:
Brighten the Morning: Mornings will be lighter, making waiting for the school bus or walking to campus a bit easier.
Plan for Darker Afternoons: After-school activities and bus commutes home will happen in the dark. Please remind your children to stay alert, stick to familiar paths, and wear reflective gear or bright clothing if walking or biking home.
Adjust Sleep Schedules: Even a one-hour shift can disrupt a child's routine. Try putting your students to bed 10 to 15 minutes earlier each night this weekend to help their bodies adjust seamlessly by Monday morning.
Let's make it a smooth and transition into the winter schedule!
