Native American Education Program
The purpose of the Native American Education Program is to meet the unique cultural, language, and educational needs of American Indian, Alaskan Native students; and ensure that all students meet the challenging State academic standards.
Goals and Objectives
∙ Increase academic success and achievement
∙ Increase academic and educational opportunities
∙ Encourage parent participation (Join our Parent Committee)
∙ Improve the graduation rate of American Indian students
∙ Increase communication between home and school
∙ Improve daily attendance
∙ Reduce the dropout rate among American Indian students
∙ Empowering families for appropriate self-advocacy
∙ Increase college matriculation
∙ Connect families to tribal, county, district, community resources
∙ Utilization of academic and cultural resources

Parent Committee
The Parent Advisory Committee is composed of parents or guardians of American Indian students, school district representatives and secondary American Indian students. The parent committee meets to review the program and help monitor, advise, and consult with the district about the Native American Program.
